Influencer marketing is not new, but how to define someone as an influencer? You might think it requires tones or several thousands of followers on social media, whereas, the recent trend is more about close-knit groups. These days, engagement is the most important thing in the world of social media. Instead of a well-known influencer, it would be better to work with a person who only has a few thousand followers and is engaged with what’s he/she is sharing. The smaller an individual’s following, the more likely their viewers judge them to be ordinary people and tend to believe their words as peer recommendations.
How to find the right influencer to partner with?
Relevance
Does the influencer is sharing content that relevant to your product or service? Do the influencer’s followers are in the same market segment that you want to target?
Reach
Measuring the number of brand’s target audiences that you can potentially reach through the influencer’s follower base.
Resonance
Examining the potential level of engagement that the influencer can create with his/her followers. Finding out the valuable parts among those engagements that are possible to benefit your brand.
Before determining whether an influencer is a perfect match for these three Rs, you will also need to understand the following questions.
・Who are you trying to influence?
・Who and what do your customers, prospects, and community trust?
・Does the influencer have a similar look and value as your brand?
・Could this cooperation create a meaningful relationship between the brand and the influencer?
Influencer marketing is one of the biggest marketing trends today, it is vital to do your research to make the most of the cooperation.
